About Luxury Crewed Sailing Yacht NOMAD IV
NOMAD IV is a Maxi Dolphin Custom designed for guests who demand both performance and refinement. Built in carbon fibre by the legendary Finot-Conq architects, she combines racing heritage (RORC Transatlantic gold medal, 2015) with the spacious interiors and generous deck spaces required for extended cruising. Her lifting keel and twin rudders allow exploration of shallow anchorages alongside high-speed passages, whilst nine tonnes of water ballast ensures comfortable sailing in virtually any condition.
Accommodation spans 5 well-appointed cabins sleeping up to 12 guests, each with ensuite facilities. The minimalist interior, conceived by Pierre Frutschi, balances the yacht's performance DNA with genuine living comfort. A substantial cockpit with dual dining tables and abundant sunbathing areas serve as the social hub, while the 360° deck saloon frames panoramic views of whatever coastline unfolds beyond.
The garage stocked with tenders, kayaks, paddleboards, and watersports equipment ensures active guests remain engaged between anchorages. State-of-the-art technology, including a carbon mast and 3DI sails, delivers the responsiveness serious sailors expect without compromising the relaxation that defines a proper charter.
Highlights
- •Carbon construction and lifting keel enable shallow-draft exploration without sacrificing offshore capability
- •Racing-proven hull design with lateral ballast tanks permit comfortable sailing in strong conditions
- •Five cabins accommodate 12 guests with ensuite bathrooms and minimalist, uncluttered design
- •Comprehensive watersports collection includes tender, kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkelling gear
The Charter Experience
Based in Sardinia, NOMAD IV serves as the ideal departure point for the Amalfi Coast, French Riviera, and beyond. Charter her for the summer season to anchor off Portofino or St Tropez, or venture further to the Leeward Islands, Virgin Islands, or Cuba for winter months when Caribbean trade winds are optimal. Her draught advantages permit access to lesser-known coves; her performance credentials ensure you'll arrive refreshed rather than fatigued.
Suggested Itinerary
A week aboard NOMAD IV might begin in Sardinia, exploring the granite islands of the Archipelago della Maddalena before crossing to the Côte d'Azur. Anchor off the Îles d'Hyères, then push west to St Tropez for provisioning and evening aperitivos. Alternatively, time your charter for winter Caribbean conditions, departing Antigua for the Grenadines or pointing further south towards Cuba's protected bays and vibrant colonial ports.
