About Luxury Crewed Catamaran MOSKITO

MOSKITO is a Heesen 55 steel catamaran completed in 2021, purpose-built for discerning charterers seeking space, stability, and refined comfort across extended Mediterranean voyages. Her twin-hull design delivers exceptional beam and shallow draft, enabling access to intimate anchorages from Naples to the Dalmatian coast whilst maintaining the seaworthiness of a true ocean-going motor yacht. Six cabins accommodate 12 guests with flexible sleeping configurations, from the owner's king suite to convertible cabins suited to younger travellers.

The interior marries contemporary restraint with practical luxury. Floor-to-ceiling glazing in the main saloon floods the day spaces with natural light, whilst the dedicated dining salon provides a formal setting for the ship's galley team. Below deck, each cabin features private ensuite facilities and climate control. For active relaxation, a sauna and steam room occupy the lower deck, complementing the full-beam master suite aft.

Outdoor living defines the MOSKITO experience. The flybridge spans the full beam with shaded lounging, al fresco dining, and a heated jacuzzi overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. The foredeck offers an intimate sunbathing platform, whilst the aft deck transforms for evening gatherings and dockside entertaining. All deck areas are finished to superyacht standards with teak and stainless steel detailing.

Highlights

  • Twin-hull catamaran stability with shallow draft for protected anchorages
  • Heated jacuzzi and sauna suite on a 55-metre platform
  • Galley team sourcing daily ingredients from Campania's markets and fisheries
  • Year-round availability across the Mediterranean and Caribbean

The Charter Experience

A 13-person crew led by Captain Ian or Captain Thilo manages all aspects of your voyage, from navigation to provisioning. The galley team of Head Chef Dean and Chef Joel sources local produce daily, creating menus that reflect the season and your preferences. The stewardess team, led by Chief Stewardess Freya or Olivia, anticipates every need with understated professionalism. Your week unfolds at your pace: morning swims in crystalline bays near Positano, lunch anchored off Capri's limestone cliffs, evening explorations of whitewashed villages in Ravello or Atrani. The crew handles logistics whilst you disconnect from routine.

Beyond the Amalfi Coast, MOSKITO operates the Mediterranean in summer, from the Balearic Islands and Ibiza to the French Riviera and Croatian Adriatic. Winter seasons shift her south to the Caribbean, where the British Virgin Islands, Leeward Islands, and Windward Islands offer consistent trade winds and island-hopping itineraries. She is equally at home in sheltered anchorages and open passages.

Suggested Itinerary

A sample week departs Naples, skirting the Sorrento Peninsula to anchor near Positano's pastel cliffside. From here, motor east to Capri for afternoon swimming, then south to the twin towns of Praiano and Furore where fishing boats and family restaurants cluster around hidden inlets. A full day allows exploration of the Emerald Grotto and lunch ashore. Return via Salerno or push further south towards the Cilento coast, finishing in Sorrento or back in Naples. The crew manages all logistics; you set the rhythm.
