About Crewed Catamaran MAIA

MAIA is a Bali 5.4 catamaran, newly built in 2024, designed for discerning charterers seeking both performance and comfort. Her innovative layout maximises open-plan living, with a bright saloon that flows onto the aft deck, a well-appointed galley, and four elegantly appointed cabins (three doubles, one twin) accommodating up to eight guests. Each cabin features a private bathroom, whilst soft furnishings and thoughtful detailing reflect the quality of her construction.

On deck, a generously proportioned foredeck with cushioned lounging awaits morning coffee, whilst the flybridge provides panoramic sightlines over the Gulf of Naples and beyond. Below, the yacht's hybrid sail and engine systems deliver a smooth passage in variable conditions, whilst her catamaran hull ensures exceptional stability and room. The interior is finished in light oak and neutral tones, creating an uncluttered, restorative atmosphere ideal for extended coastal cruising.

Highlights

  • Hybrid propulsion and catamaran stability for confident coastal cruising without motion or fuel anxiety
  • Four private cabins with en-suite bathrooms, ideal for couples or small family groups seeking autonomy
  • Comprehensive water sports collection including dinghy, sea scooters, paddleboards, and snorkel gear for impromptu exploration
  • Experienced crew handles all navigation, provisioning, and yacht operations, freeing you to savour the itinerary

The Charter Experience

Your week aboard MAIA unfolds across the Campanian Archipelago, guided by an experienced captain and crew who handle navigation, provisioning, and yacht operations whilst you set the pace. Mornings may find you anchored off Positano's pastel cliffs, with the dinghy ready for village exploration. Afternoons invite leisurely passages between Capri, Ischia, and the quieter coves fringing Sorrento's dramatic limestone escarpment. Evenings centre on the aft deck, where chef-prepared Italian suppers pair with local wines and unobstructed views of the coastline. The crew curates each day to your preferences, whether that means a cultural foray into Naples' UNESCO-listed centro storico, an active morning with water toys, or simply anchoring in a sheltered bay for reading and quiet reflection.

Suggested Itinerary

A typical week might begin in Salerno, sailing south to Positano for an afternoon ashore, then west towards Capri for an overnight anchorage. Day three takes you to Ischia, known for its thermal springs and quieter anchorages on the northern shore. Return eastward via Sorrento and the smaller islands dotting the gulf, finishing with a leisurely final passage back to Salerno. Detours to Sicily's Aeolian Islands, or extended time in the coves between Amalfi and Praiano, adapt readily to weather and mood.
