About Bareboat Sailing Catamaran Elba 45
The Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 represents a new generation of performance cruising. Built in 2020, this sailing catamaran combines the efficiency of her design with genuine comfort. Twin hulls provide stability and generous internal volume, whilst the saloon floods with natural light and feels more like a floating apartment than a vessel.
Five cabins accommodate up to nine guests: four spacious doubles plus a skipper's cabin. Four en-suite heads mean minimal queuing before breakfast. The layout suits families and friend groups equally well. Key systems include autopilot, chart plotter, bow thruster, air-conditioning, and electric windlass, reducing the physical demands of bareboat sailing.

The Charter Experience
Charter from Alimos Marina, situated minutes from central Athens yet positioned perfectly for explorations of both the Cyclades and Saronic Gulf. The Cyclades remain Greece's premier sailing destination. Island-hop between whitewashed villages perched on volcanic slopes, anchor in translucent bays, and dine on fresh seafood at waterfront tavernas. Mythology permeates every anchorage. The Saronic Gulf offers similar rewards with a more sheltered character, ideal for those preferring calmer waters. Summer winds are predictable and moderate; winter brings solitude and dramatic light. Athens itself demands a day ashore for the Acropolis and museums.
Suggested Itinerary
A typical week departs Alimos for Hydra or Poros, exploring the Saronic Gulf's protected anchorages and hillside villages. Day-sail to the Cyclades proper: Syros for provisioning and Cycladic architecture, Antiparos for its limestone caverns, Naxos for white-sand beaches and local cheese. Return via Mykonos or Tinos depending on wind and mood. Each passage is measured in hours, not days, leaving ample time for swimming, dining ashore, and simply anchoring in near-empty bays.
