About Luxury Crewed Sailing Yacht Phinisi 53
This custom-built phinisi represents a masterclass in contemporary luxury sailing design, combining classical Asian lines with modern amenities. Launched in 2012, she accommodates up to 14 guests across seven cabins, anchored by an expansive owner's two-level suite featuring dark wood interiors, gold teak decks, and 600 square metres of canvas. Every surface celebrates natural materials, from 4-centimetre teak planking underfoot to exotic sono rosewood and hand-carved Asian, Polynesian, and Maori sculptures adorning the spaces.
The interior palette contrasts rich timber joinery with crisp furnishings from Dedon, Minotti, and Walter Knoll, creating an atmosphere of understated refinement. Bang & Olufsen audio and Bega lighting systems support the yacht's dual identity as both serene retreat and social venue. Below deck, a comprehensive dive operation with two compressors (Nitrox capable) serves serious underwater exploration, whilst above, a fleet of water toys including two jet skis, kayaks, and tenders enables active pursuits across anchorages few Western vessels visit.
The seven staterooms comprise a sprawling master suite with adjoining children's quarters, plus five guest cabins appointed with queen berths. A dedicated children's cabin features entertainment systems and sleeping arrangements flexible enough for young explorers. This configuration transforms extended journeys into family-friendly expeditions without sacrificing adult comfort or privacy.

The Charter Experience
Charter her between November and April in Raja Ampat's limestone archipelago, where pristine reefs and remote islands reward both snorkellers and certified divers. From May through October, Komodo National Park becomes your floating base, offering close encounters with legendary dragon monitors, volcanic trekking, and some of the Indo-Pacific's most vibrant coral gardens. Beach dinners on uninhabited strands, sunrise kayaking through mangrove channels, and nights anchored in silent anchorages define the rhythm. The crew and service staff orchestrate logistics seamlessly, whilst included airport transfers and comprehensive onboard dining eliminate logistical friction. Five-day minimums suit shorter windows; longer voyages unlock the region's true character and allow deeper immersion in local cultures and underwater wonders.
Suggested Itinerary
A week in Komodo might unfold from traditional fishing villages and volcanic calderas to the UNESCO World Heritage reefs near Rinca Island, with afternoons reserved for diving sites and snorkelling at Batu Bolong. Transition north to Raja Ampat in the cooler months to navigate the Misool and Salawati atolls, where black-sand beaches and undisturbed house reefs offer day diving and night anchorages in waters rarely touched by charter traffic. Evening entertainment ranges from local cultural performances arranged ashore to quiet stargazing from the teak decks.
