About Gulet PATEA
PATEA is a Warwick-designed performance cruising sloop built by Alia Yachts in 2012, offering refined comfort for discerning charterers exploring the Eastern Mediterranean. This crewed gulet accommodates eight guests across four generously appointed cabins, each with en-suite facilities and modern entertainment systems. The vessel balances authentic sailing character with contemporary convenience, featuring a dedicated Crestron ADMS system that integrates entertainment, climate, and lighting throughout.
The main saloon centres on a pop-up Samsung 40-inch television with surround sound and subwoofer, whilst the exterior cockpit includes a separate 32-inch waterproof display for deck entertaining. Bose speakers and multiple iPod/iPhone docks enable curated soundscapes across every area. WiFi connectivity and digital television reception at anchor ensure seamless connectivity without compromising the sailing experience.
Highlights
- •Complete diving setup including compressor, twin 12-litre bottles, and two full equipment sets for rendezvous diving expeditions
- •Custom 4.5-metre tender with 50hp engine for water skiing and wakeboarding, plus snorkelling gear in assorted sizes
- •Fully crewed with onboard chef and professional captain navigating prime Aegean anchorages
- •Integrated Crestron entertainment and Panasonic intercom systems linking master, saloon, and crew areas
The Charter Experience
Charter PATEA around the Dodecanese Islands and Aegean coast, where crystal-clear anchorages and sheltered harbours provide ideal conditions for both active exploration and leisurely cruising. The gulet's sailing performance proves particularly rewarding in these waters, whilst the crew's local knowledge unlocks hidden coves inaccessible to larger vessels. Days split naturally between civilised harbour stops (Symi, Patmos, Lipsi) and secluded swimming and diving locations. Evening entertainment transitions effortlessly from deck drinks to climate-controlled saloon gatherings.
Suggested Itinerary
A typical week aboard PATEA might begin in Rhodes, with passages to the quieter Dodecanese outposts (Symi, Yaliskari Bay) for morning diving and afternoon swimming. Mid-week sailing reaches the northern islands (Patmos, Lipsi), where sheltered bays allow watersports afternoons and waterfront taverna evenings. The final days return south via Leros and Kalymnos, concluding with sunset anchorages off deserted islets before the return to base.
