About Bareboat Sailing Yacht Oceanis 54

The Beneteau Oceanis 54 is a purpose-built cruising sailboat ideally suited to independent sailors seeking unstructured exploration of the Gulf of Thailand. Built in 2013, this four-cabin bareboat offers straightforward comfort and reliable performance for week-long passages between Koh Chang and Koh Samui. The layout comprises three double cabins and one single forward, accommodating seven guests with practical galley and navigation facilities.

Your charter includes exclusive use from 3pm on arrival through 9am on departure, an inflatable dinghy with outboard engine, bed linen, bath towels, and all local taxes. Post-charter cleaning is handled by the operator. The vessel operates seasonally: Koh Samui from May to August, and Koh Chang from October to April, allowing you to time your departure with optimal conditions.

Highlights

  • Four-cabin layout accommodates seven guests across dual en-suites and comfortable berths
  • Seasonal flexibility anchored to Gulf weather patterns and island accessibility
  • Dinghy and outboard included for exploring shallows and remote anchorages
  • Minimum seven-day charter with 5% discount available for bookings of 15 days or longer

The Charter Experience

Bareboat sailing in Southeast Asia suits captains comfortable with self-reliance. You'll navigate sheltered waters between dramatic limestone formations, anchor in protected bays, and discover quiet anchorages beyond the resort circuit. The Gulf of Thailand rewards careful planning with consistent winds, manageable tidal ranges, and numerous island stops. Provisions, fuel top-ups, water refills, crew hire, and optional equipment such as snorkelling gear, kayaks, and air-conditioning (charged separately) are arranged independently or pre-charter. This is sailing on your terms, with the freedom to adjust daily plans based on weather, curiosity, and crew appetite.

Suggested Itinerary

A typical week might begin in Koh Samui with provisioning and sea trial, then sail eastward to the Ang Thong National Marine Park, threading between limestone pinnacles and white-sand beaches. Continue to Koh Phangan for overnight anchorage, then westward across open water to Koh Tao's sheltered bays. Spend remaining days exploring quieter islands or returning with time for final provisioning and engine checks before handover.
