About Bareboat Sailing Yacht Hydra

Hydra is a Bavaria 45 Cruiser designed in partnership with Farr Yacht Design and BMW Group Design Works. This bareboat offers the rare combination of responsive sailing performance and considered living space, making her equally suited to competent sailors seeking spirited passage-making and those who simply want a well-appointed base from which to explore.

The yacht accommodates four cabins sleeping up to ten guests, each cabin ventilated and naturally lit. Twin rudders and dual steering positions give confident helm control, whilst the generous cockpit and lowering transom facilitate easy boarding and water access. Teak decking and a Spryhood provide shade and elegance in equal measure.

Highlights

  • Twin rudders and dual steering positions for confident handling in varying conditions
  • Bow thruster, electric anchor, and full navigation suite (GPS chartplotter, autopilot, VHF) for stress-free operation
  • Spacious cockpit with Bimini top and Spryhood; hot shower and full galley for extended cruising
  • Battened mainsail with lazy bag and furling genoa; responsive hull design rewards attentive sailing

The Charter Experience

Charter Hydra from Portisco and discover why Sardinia's northern coast captivates discerning sailors. The island's granite headlands, hidden anchorages, and crystalline waters are best explored under sail. Spend days navigating between the Maddalena archipelago and Corsica's eastern shore, or venture south towards the Emerald Coast. Evenings bring calm anchorages, shore restaurants accessible by tender, and the particular silence that follows a day on the water.

Suggested Itinerary

Sail south from Portisco to the Maddalena archipelago, anchoring at Cala Corsara and Budelli for pristine swimming. Continue to Bonifacio's limestone cliffs on Corsica, then return via the Emerald Coast's sheltered bays. Seven days allows leisurely passage-making with full exploration of each anchorage.
