About Luxury Crewed Motor Yacht GRAND ILLUSION
GRAND ILLUSION is a Palmer Johnson 137 refitted to exacting standards in 2017. Robert Knack International's interior design emphasises dark mahogany, gold leaf and cream finishes throughout, creating an ambience more akin to a private palace than a vessel. The dining saloon is naturally lit to showcase bespoke furnishings, whilst an al fresco dining table on deck provides an alternative setting for evening service.
Five cabins sleep up to twelve guests in hotel-calibre comfort. The master and three doubles feature premium linens and marble ensuite facilities, whilst the twin cabin offers flexible sleeping arrangements. Expansive sun decks include a heated jacuzzi positioned to command panoramic views, multiple seating zones, and designated sunbathing terraces ideal for Mediterranean cruising.
Highlights
- •Five luxuriously appointed cabins with marble ensuites and hotel-grade linens
- •Heated jacuzzi on the sun deck with unobstructed Mediterranean views
- •18-foot Nautica tender, Yamaha Wave Runners, SeaBobs and snorkel gear for water activities
- •Professional crew providing fine dining service, navigation and concierge support
The Charter Experience
Charter GRAND ILLUSION from the Amalfi Coast to experience the dramatic limestone cliffs, whitewashed villages and protected coves of southern Italy. Anchor off Positano or Ravello, explore Capri's grottos, or cruise eastward towards Sicily and the Aeolian Islands. The yacht's range and toy collection enable both active pursuits (RIB excursions, water skiing, kayaking) and leisurely exploration of Michelin-starred restaurants accessible by tender. Spring and autumn offer ideal conditions; summer brings vibrant coastal life and luminous evening light perfect for al fresco dining.
Suggested Itinerary
A week-long Amalfi Coast charter might begin in Naples, cruising south along the Sorrentine Peninsula with stops at Positano and Amalfi town. Days three and four venture to Capri for Blue Grotto exploration, with evening returns to secluded anchorages. Mid-charter, consider an overnight passage to Salerno or the islands of Li Galli for snorkelling. The final days allow leisurely return via smaller villages, with options to venture towards Paestum's archaeological sites or the quieter coast near Cilento.
