About Bareboat Catamaran Astrea 42
The Fountaine Pajot Astrea 42 combines intelligent design with straightforward handling, making her equally suited to experienced sailors and those new to bareboat charter. Built in 2020, this catamaran offers four double cabins and two forepeak singles, with four heads distributed throughout. The hulls provide generous accommodation below and exceptional social space on deck, where sun pads and trampolines invite relaxation between passages.
Fountaine Pajot's 48-year heritage in catamarans is evident in every detail. The saloon converts for dining or lounging, whilst the aft deck becomes your outdoor living space. Systems are straightforward to operate: electric winches and autopilot reduce fatigue during longer sails, whilst solar panels and a freshwater maker support genuine self-sufficiency. Navigation suite includes GPS plotter and VHF; entertainment covers TV and Bluetooth-enabled radio for the quieter anchorages.

- •Air conditioning, watermaker, freezer, and generator for extended independence at anchor

The Charter Experience
Charter from Miami and sail directly into the Florida Keys, where shallow turquoise waters and protected anchorages await. The Astrea 42's catamaran design excels in these conditions, drawing minimal draft whilst providing stability for comfortable lounging at anchor. Start in Coconut Grove and work southward through the island chain, pausing at snug anchorages where kayaks and paddleboards invite exploration. Fishing equipment is available should you wish to pursue deeper-water opportunities. With six berths across four separate cabins, group dynamics remain harmonious; the forepeak singles suit younger crew or staff, leaving the owners in privacy forward and amidships.
Suggested Itinerary
Depart Coconut Grove and sail south through the Upper Keys, anchoring at Sandy Key or French Reef. Continue to the Middle Keys for Islamorada's deeper provisioning, then push to Marathon for the widest selection of restaurants and shops. Experienced crews may venture further to the Lower Keys and the Marquesas atoll. Throughout, shallow-water snorkelling, bonefishing from the tender, and simple beach picnics define the week.
