About Crewed Sailing Yacht VIVID
VIVID is a Jongert 2700M built with serious cruising credentials. This three-cabin sailing yacht accommodates six guests across a king and two double cabins, each with ensuite heads. A 2019 refit ensures modern systems throughout. The layout favours easy living at sea, whether you're anchored off the Leeward Islands or exploring Britain's south coast.
Year-round availability gives you choice. Summer finds her based in Falmouth, Cornwall, ideally positioned for coastal hops to the Isles of Scilly, the Solent, Isle of Wight, and beyond to the Channel Islands. Come winter, she relocates to the Caribbean, ready to explore the Windward and Leeward Islands or Virgin Islands with the trade winds at your back.
Captain Patrick Phelan brings decades of blue-water experience across the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Canary Islands, with deep expertise in yacht systems and seamanship. Chef Sarah Phelan delivers accomplished galley work, supported by stewardess Marjia, who has sailed extensively throughout Mediterranean and Greek waters. This is a professional, seasoned crew accustomed to discerning clients.

The Charter Experience
Winter charters in the Leeward Islands offer reliable easterly winds, calm anchorages, and the region's signature blend of white-sand islands and protected bays. Sail between Antigua, Barbuda, Montserrat, and Dominica at a leisurely pace, with plenty of time for swimming, snorkelling, and exploring quiet harbours. The onboard plunge pool (converted from recessed tender storage) provides refreshment, whilst watersports include wakeboards, paddle boards, and fishing gear. Crew expertise in Caribbean conditions means they navigate the seasonal weather and local anchorages with confidence.
Suggested Itinerary
A winter fortnight might begin in Antigua, sail south through the Leeward Islands, anchor off Dominica for snorkelling and island exploration, then work east towards the Windwards. Alternatively, focus the week on the Virgin Islands' protected anchorages, combining sailing with long lunches ashore and afternoon swims. Summer charters could depart Falmouth for the Scillies, then drift east along the south coast into the Solent, or push further west towards the Channel Islands and French coast.
