About Crewed Catamaran SOLAR WINDS
SOLAR WINDS is a Catana Bali 4.8 purpose-built for intimate Caribbean exploration. Launched in 2023, this crewed catamaran accommodates six guests across three queen cabins, each with ensuite bathrooms. Her dual catamaran hull delivers stability and shallow-draft access to hidden anchorages that monohulls cannot reach, while her combined engine and sailing rig ensures seamless passage regardless of wind.
The interior centres on a light-filled saloon ringed with glazing, creating an airy hub for the group. A dedicated galley enables your onboard chef to deliver restaurant-calibre dinners, whilst the aft alfresco dining area frames sunset views as you cruise. Socialising options range from the cushioned flybridge for morning coffee to the foredeck bronzing area for uninterrupted sun exposure.
Water pursuits are fully equipped. Snorkel gear, SUP boards, floating mats, and fishing tackle are provided, plus beach games for the shallows. Your captain and crew craft a bespoke itinerary around your preferences, whether that means drifting between BVI anchorages, exploring the Spanish Virgin Islands, or anchoring off St. Thomas. All meals, spirits, fuel, permits, and crew services are included in the charter rate.

The Charter Experience
SOLAR WINDS operates year-round across the Virgin Islands, from Tortola's sheltered anchorages to the crystalline shallows of St. John and St. Croix. A seven-day voyage might loop the British Virgin Islands, calling at Jost Van Dyke for beach lunches, Gorda Sound for snorkelling coral gardens, and Peter Island for private-island dinners. Alternatively, venture to the US Virgin Islands to anchor off tranquil bays and limestone coves. Your captain navigates based on weather, swell, and your mood, crafting days that balance active water sports with absolute stillness.
Suggested Itinerary
A typical seven-day charter begins in Tortola, where you board SOLAR WINDS and meet your captain. Day one might take you south to Peter Island for snorkelling, with dinner prepared aboard as night falls. Days two and three explore the British Virgin Islands proper, anchoring off Gorda Sound's underwater gardens and White Bay on Jost Van Dyke. Mid-week, sail east to Virgin Gorda or west toward Anegada for bonefishing or simply drifting in glass-clear water. The final days return you via St. John's Coral World or the US Virgin Islands depending on your preference, with a captain's dinner on the final evening. Throughout, your crew adjusts pace and ports to match the group's energy.
