Bareboat Catamaran SMILE

SMILE is a Bali 4.5 catamaran purpose-built for relaxed exploration of the Spanish coast and Balearic Islands. Launched in 2018, she accommodates eight guests across four cabins with the space and stability that dual hulls deliver, offering a marked step up from monohull sailing yachts of comparable size.

The Bali 4.5 represents CATANA's design philosophy centred on open-plan living. An expansive forward cockpit with removable tables functions as an outdoor living room; the saloon bathes in natural light through panoramic windows. Ventilation throughout is exceptional, eliminating the stuffiness common in smaller vessels. Interior and exterior spaces feel generously proportioned for a bareboat of this specification.

Designed for self-sufficiency at sea, the Bali 4.5 combines reliable sea-keeping with minimal maintenance demands. She carries snorkel gear and floating mats for unhurried days anchored off coves. Note that chartering with skipper is mandatory; crew expenses are additional to the weekly charter fee.

Charter SMILE from the Costa Blanca through the Balearic Islands, calling at Ibiza's sheltered anchorages, Mallorca's eastern bays, and onward to Barcelona. The catamaran's shallow draft and broad beam allow access to smaller harbours and beach stops beyond the reach of deeper-keeled yachts. Summer winds favour reaching and running; the open cockpit makes for sociable sailing. Autumn and spring offer gentler conditions and fewer crowds at anchorages throughout the region.
