About Crewed Catamaran Oceanic 55

Oceanic 55 is a custom-built catamaran engineered for genuine sailing enthusiasts, not casual drifters. Based in Phuket, she carries 10–12 guests across the Andaman Sea with a big rig and responsive helm that rewards active participation. The skipper welcomes confident sailors to take the upper helm station and feel the vessel respond to their touch, whilst the experienced crew maintains safety throughout.

Six cabins accommodate guests across four double cabins, one convertible double, and a twin bunk configuration, each fitted with multiple fans, LED lighting, and generous natural ventilation through opening hatches and ports. The separate crew quarters—two forward cabins with private facilities and independent deck access—ensure complete separation of service and guest spaces. Four en-suite facilities and two additional deck showers service the guest areas.

The catamaran's cockpit seats the entire party around three dining tables beneath a fixed alloy awning, with dual walk-through transoms for effortless boarding. A snorkelling ladder on the starboard side provides immediate water access. Below deck, the galley operates at remote-charter standards with three fridge-freezers, commercial stainless steel work surfaces, and a reverse-osmosis water maker. Power systems include a large generator, ten solar panels, and a wind generator, backed by dual 120-Amp Balmar alternators.

Highlights

  • True sailing catamaran with big rig and helm authority—not a motorised floating hotel
  • Six guest cabins with private en-suites; separate crew quarters preserve service elegance
  • Dual auxiliary engines paired with wind and solar generation for offshore self-sufficiency
  • Wireless entertainment, upper helm station, bow-net shade, and fishing kit included

The Charter Experience

Charter Oceanic 55 from Phuket and cruise towards Myanmar and the Andaman's anchorages, or venture south to Langkawi. Typical itineraries span Myanmar's remote islands or the limestone karsts of Thailand's protected waters. Minimum charter duration is five days, extending to seven days during peak periods. The crew provides three meals daily plus snacks, handle all running costs—fuel, water, and marina fees—and supply professional game-fishing equipment, two double kayaks, and a stand-up paddleboard. National park permits, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, crew gratuities, and airport transfers are additional.

Suggested Itinerary

Sample a week exploring Myanmar's Mergui Archipelago or Thailand's Phang Nga Bay, calling at pristine anchorages where kayaking, snorkelling, and fishing punctuate each day. Wake anchored off deserted islands, dine on deck beneath the fixed awning as the sun sets, and let the wind direct your course. Evening entertainments on the 49-inch screen or acoustic guitar are optional; the sea is the primary attraction.
