About Bareboat Catamaran MARALYN
MARALYN is a Lagoon 42 catamaran built in 2019, purpose-built for group sailing in Southeast Asian waters. The twin-hull design provides exceptional stability and shallow-draft access to Phuket's archipelago, whilst the open-plan saloon and split cabin configuration accommodate up to 12 guests across 4 double cabins and 2 forward singles.
This is a bareboat charter, ideal for experienced sailors seeking complete autonomy. You have exclusive use of the yacht from noon on day one through noon on your final day. The package includes snorkelling equipment, a tender with outboard engine, bed linen, towels, and all local taxes. Minimum charter is 5 days (7 days during peak periods).
Highlights
- •Twin-hull catamaran with exceptional stability and generous deck space
- •Sleeps 12 (4 double + 2 single cabins, dual saloons for entertaining)
- •Snorkelling equipment and tender included; ideal for island-hopping
- •2019 build year; designed for bareboat sailing in tropical conditions
The Charter Experience
Base yourself in Phuket and explore the Andaman Sea on your own schedule. The Lagoon 42's design suits both open-water passages and intimate anchorages amongst limestone karsts, coral reefs, and sheltered bays. Navigate to Phang Nga Bay, the Phi Phi Islands, or venture further south depending on conditions and crew preference. Anchorages typically offer pristine water for swimming and snorkelling; the included tender gives access to secluded beaches inaccessible by larger vessels.
Suggested Itinerary
A typical week might depart Phuket for Phang Nga Bay's dramatic limestone formations, anchor in James Bond Island waters for morning swims, then cruise to the Phi Phi Islands for world-class snorkelling. Return via Koh Similan or Koh Tachai, depending on wind and crew energy. Flexibility is the virtue of bareboat cruising.
