About Bareboat Catamaran MANUTEA
MANUTEA is a Lagoon 440 catamaran offering responsive handling and spacious accommodation for independent sailors exploring the Windward Islands. Built in 2010, this vessel combines the stability and shallow-draft advantages of catamaran design with the comfort expected of a recognised charter platform. Four cabins sleep up to eight guests, each with private facilities.
The saloon flows seamlessly onto an expansive aft deck, where a semi-circular bench and fixed bimini create a natural gathering point for evening aperitifs. A wet bar positioned before the saloon entrance eliminates the need to retreat indoors. Forward, the trampoline netting provides an open-air lounging platform, whilst a flybridge offers elevated views across anchorages and neighbouring islands.
Highlights
- •Four private cabins accommodating eight guests across dual hulls
- •Aft cockpit with semi-circular seating, fixed bimini, and integrated wet bar
- •Forward trampoline for sunbathing and elevated flybridge viewpoint
- •Proven Lagoon 440 design with award recognition and consistent charter performance
The Charter Experience
The Windward Islands present an ideal cruising ground for bareboat charterers seeking protected waters, consistent trade winds, and the flexibility to set your own itinerary. MANUTEA's dual hulls and moderate displacement allow exploration of both deep-water passages and shallow bays inaccessible to monohulls. Anchor off Bequia, Mustique, or Canouan, or sail to the quieter anchorages of Tobago Cays. The charter region offers a balance of developed infrastructure and untouched anchorages, with easy provisioning and repair facilities in larger islands.
Suggested Itinerary
A typical week might begin in Bequia, sailing south to the Tobago Cays for overnight anchorage and snorkelling. Continue to Union Island for provisioning and onward to the Grenadines, anchoring at Palm Island or Petit St Vincent. Return via Mustique, allowing time to explore the calm northern anchorages of the Windward chain before concluding in St Lucia or Kingstown.
