About Bareboat Catamaran Lagoon 450 Sportop

The Lagoon 450 Sportop is a contemporary catamaran designed by Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot Prévost, offering the space and stability characteristic of the breed with refined comfort for bareboat exploration. Six cabins sleep up to ten guests, with four doubles featuring ensuite bathrooms and two single berths in the forward hulls.

This 2019-built vessel combines practical sailing performance with considered cruising amenities. The saloon is notably spacious, while dual steering stations and an expansive cockpit layout make passage-making straightforward. Water independence comes courtesy of a 100-litre-per-hour desalination system powered by an 11kW generator, ensuring you remain self-sufficient throughout your charter.

Highlights

  • Six-cabin layout with ensuite bathrooms in main cabins, comfortable berths forward
  • Fully air-conditioned saloon and cabins with 100-litre-per-hour watermaker for extended independence
  • Dual helm stations and expansive cockpit with electrical winches for confident sailing
  • Forward-looking sonar and comprehensive navigation systems; dinghy, snorkelling equipment and linens included

The Charter Experience

Based in Phuket, this catamaran opens access to the Andaman Sea's limestone archipelagos, coral gardens, and quiet anchorages. Five-day minimum charters (seven days during peak season) allow you to establish a rhythm beyond the typical resort itinerary. The catamaran's shallow draft permits exploration of shallow bays and protected waters whilst the twin hulls provide stability for relaxed afternoons at anchor. Included snorkelling equipment and tender with outboard encourage exploration of reefs and secluded coves.

Suggested Itinerary

Typical itineraries from Phuket extend northeast toward the Phang Nga Bay's dramatic karsts and James Bond Island, or east towards the Phi Phi Islands and Bamboo Island's coral gardens. The twin-hulled design permits calmer anchorages than single-hulled yachts, whilst the catamaran's shallow draft opens anchorages around Koh Hong and remote limestone islands that larger vessels cannot access.
