About Bareboat Catamaran Lagoon 400

The Lagoon 400 is the thinking sailor's choice for independent exploration of the Mediterranean. This twin-hulled design delivers spacious, naturally ventilated accommodation across four cabins, with a galley and saloon amidships that serve as the social heart of the vessel. Built in 2011, this catamaran combines shallow draft stability with the directness of bareboat ownership, allowing you to set your own schedule across the Balearic Islands.

Below decks, accommodation comprises four double or twin cabins, each with private heads and hot water systems. The galley features electric cooking, refrigeration, and ample storage. Above, the broad cockpit provides genuine comfort at sea, with weather protection via a stainless steel bimini and a dedicated shower for rinsing away salt water. Modern navigation systems, radar, and electronic instrumentation reduce the cognitive load of passage-making, freeing you to focus on sailing.

Highlights

  • Furling genoa and automatic hydraulic pilot reduce fatigue on longer passages
  • Raymarine navigation suite with high-definition radar and GPS plotter for coastal precision
  • Twin hulls provide exceptional stability and shallow draught anchorage access
  • Full galley with electric cooking, 300-litre water capacity, and comprehensive safety equipment

The Charter Experience

Charter bareboat in Europe's most sheltered and transparent waters. The Balearic archipelago offers everything from the cultural intensity of Ibiza and Palma's Gothic cathedral to anchorages in Formentera and Cabrera where the seabed remains visible in 15 metres. Seven-day minimum allows for a genuine cruise itinerary rather than hurried island-hopping. Spring and autumn provide consistent winds and far fewer crowds than summer; winter sailing here rewards the disciplined with solitude and crystalline light.

Suggested Itinerary

A week-long circuit might begin in Palma, sail eastward to Cabrera's protected anchorages and white sand beaches, push south to Formentera's turquoise shallows, then return via Ibiza's northern coves and hidden bays. Alternatively, extend northwards towards the Tramontane winds and pine-clad islands of the northern archipelago, where protection and provisioning remain reliable.
