About Luxury Crewed Sailing Yacht Ketch 85
This custom-built sailing ketch offers eight guests an intimate passage through Southeast Asia's most remote waters. Fully refitted in 2012, she combines traditional sailing aesthetics with modern comfort, based seasonally between Kawthoung on the Thailand-Myanmar border and Phuket.
Four cabins accommodate guests in two doubles and two twins, each with ensuite facilities and individual climate control. The crew occupies separate quarters, ensuring privacy throughout your voyage. The yacht's configuration makes her equally suited to family expeditions and small group charters across the Andaman Sea.
Highlights
- •Four-cabin layout with ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning in each
- •Seven-day minimum charter with full crew, meals, and operational costs included
- •Mergui Archipelago access during peak season with Kawthoung base
- •Snorkelling equipment and dinghy provided for exploration of anchorages
The Charter Experience
Sail with a professional captain and crew through crystalline waters and limestone karsts. October through April positions the yacht at Kawthoung for immersive exploration of the Mergui Archipelago, whilst May to September operations centre on Phuket. Daily life aboard revolves around three prepared meals, freshly brewed coffee and tea, and access to snorkelling equipment and a tender for island landings. The pace is set by wind and tide, not itineraries.
Suggested Itinerary
Typical weeks feature sailing among the Mergui's uninhabited islands, anchoring in protected bays for swimming and snorkelling, with occasional visits to remote villages. The route adapts to weather and guest preferences, whether seeking pristine reefs or sheltered cruising grounds.
