About Luxury Crewed Catamaran CALMAO
CALMAO is a Sunreef 74 crewed catamaran that splits her year between two distinct worlds. Summer finds her gliding through the Balearic Islands, where Palma serves as home port for explorations toward Ibiza and the protected waters of Cabrera National Park. Come winter, she relocates to the Bahamas and Virgin Islands, trading Mediterranean limestone cliffs for powder-white beaches and crystalline lagoons.
The catamaran's layout prioritises connection and light. A glass-lined saloon opens to the aft deck, where candlelit dinners unfold against Palma's distant glow. The flybridge commands views across turquoise waters, whilst the foredeck's twin trampolines and loungers invite unhurried mornings at anchor. Below deck, four cabins accommodate nine guests across three double and one twin configuration, each with ensuite facilities and a restful colour palette.
Your seasonal captain (Mario for summer, Carlos for winter) leads a crew trained in gourmet preparation, attentive service, and Mediterranean or Caribbean hospitality. Charter operations follow MYBA terms, with crew gratuities, fuel, provisions, water sports, and harbour fees calculated separately from the base weekly fee.

The Charter Experience
In the Balearics, CALMAO's tender delivers you to Ibiza's nightlife or secluded coves carved into rugged coastlines. Snorkelling, paddleboarding, and kayaking fill daylight hours; water skis and wakeboards suit guests seeking adrenaline. Evenings pivot toward Spanish classics and wine shared beneath open skies. When winter calls, the same crew repositions to the Caribbean, where shallow anchorages, protected reefs, and island-hopping between the Bahamas and Virgin Islands define the rhythm. Whether Mediterranean or Caribbean, the experience centres on your preferences, the crew's skill, and the catamaran's stable platform for both action and repose.
Suggested Itinerary
A typical Balearic week departs Palma toward Cabrera National Park, anchoring in protected bays for snorkelling and paddleboarding. Menorca's quieter anchorages follow before a final push to Ibiza, where evening ashore precedes a return cruise. The itinerary flexes to your priorities, whether cultural exploration, water sports intensity, or simply lingering in locations that move you.
