About Bareboat Sailing Yacht Bavaria 46 Cruiser
The Bavaria 46 offers exceptional volume for a sailing yacht of her class, with four double cabins accommodating up to ten guests. Light mahogany joinery creates warm, inviting interiors that reward extended time aboard. Headroom of 6ft 6in throughout the saloon and cabins eliminates the claustrophobic feel of many cruising yachts, whilst a generously proportioned galley positioned along the port side of the saloon facilitates meal preparation for larger groups.
Performance comes from a fully battened Stackpack mainsail, 130 per cent genoa, and deep lead keel that deliver satisfying sailing characteristics across a range of conditions. A bow thruster simplifies handling in tight anchorages, whilst a spray hood and bimini top provide practical protection from the Mediterranean sun and occasional weather. All essential navigation and sailing instruments are fitted as standard, including depth sounder, log speed, and furling systems for both main and jib.
Highlights
- •Four double cabins with generous headroom, ideal for families or groups requiring privacy
- •Fully equipped galley with ample worktop space and storage for provisioning throughout your week
- •Furling mainsail and genoa simplify sail handling and reduce crew workload
- •Bow thruster and deck shower enhance both safety and comfort during extended cruising
The Charter Experience
Bareboat charter from Palma allows you to navigate the Balearic Islands on your own schedule. The shallow turquoise bays of Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza are easily reached within short sailing distances, whilst the protected waters and consistent summer winds suit both confident skippers and those looking to refresh their seamanship. Deck shower and hot water systems support comfort during an active week of exploration, and weekend Saturday check-ins (from 17:00) align naturally with international travel patterns.
Suggested Itinerary
A typical week might begin in Palma, then sail southeast to the Cabrera Archipelago for remote anchorages and clear water. Continue towards Colónia de Sant Jordi before reaching the Pityusic Islands (Ibiza and Formentera), where sheltered bays and beach stops reward careful piloting. Return via the east coast of Mallorca, visiting Coves d'Artà or Portocolom if wind and schedule permit.
